Zipcar to Offer Monthly Membership Option
Car-sharing network Zipcar, Inc. is introducing a monthly membership option for occasional-use customers.
Car-sharing network Zipcar, Inc. is introducing a monthly membership option for occasional-use customers.
The plan requires only a $6 monthly membership fee and, for first-time customers, as $25 application charge. The Boston-based company will continue its annual membership, which costs $60.
Zipcar's standard rates still apply, with car rentals starting at $8.25 per hour or $74 per day. The fee includes fuel, insurance, reserved parking and as many as 180 miles (200 km) per day.
Membership allows access to Zipcar's network of more than 10,000 vehicles in urban areas and on college campuses throughout the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Spain and Austria.
