Volkswagen AG is distributing €5,900 profit-sharing payments to its hourly workers at six plant locations in Germany.
The payments are based on VW's profit last year, when net income climbed 20% to €10.8 billion.
VW praised its workforce's strong team performance despite difficult conditions in several markets. But the company cautions that continued market challenges could reduce growth in 2015.
