Volvo Trucks is introducing a version of Volvo Car Corp.’s telematics system that will allow the two companies’ vehicles to share safety alerts with each other.
Volvo Car, which is now part of China’s Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., introduced the technology in Europe in 2016. Volvo Trucks, which is owned by AB Volvo, is launching its system this year on select models operated in Sweden and Norway.
