South Korean internet company Naver Corp. says it hopes to begin testing an automated driving system by the end of December.
Naver has been developing expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning and is melding it with its web search engine. In June the company bought Xerox Corp.’s AI and computer vision research center in France.
Chief Technology Officer Song Chang-hyun tells reporters his aim is to deliver tailored services to consumers worldwide through technologies that “understand the environment of its users.”
