PSA Group’s Opel unit has been ordered to recall 210,000 cars in Europe that could emit far more oxides of nitrogen than allowed by EU rules, according to Bild am Sonntag.

The German newspaper, which cites no sources, says the directive from Germany’s transport authority targets certain gasoline-powered 2018-2019 model Corsa superminis (pictured) and Adam city cars.
Affected cars are fitted with pollution sensors that can wear out after 50,000 km (31,000 miles), according to the report. It says the company intends to fix the problem with a software update.
