Porsche AG is testing a service in Atlanta that enables customers to pay a flat monthly fee for on-demand access to a range of its sports cars and SUV/crossover models.
The Porsche Passport plan offers members two levels of access. The base plan costs $2,000 per month and provides access to eight models. For $3,000 per month, customers can drive 22 models, including the 911 Carrera S sports car and Panamera 4S sport sedan. In either case, members pay a one-time $500 activation fee.
The plan covers insurance, maintenance, vehicle detailing and unlimited mileage. Members participate on a month-to-month basis. They can request same-day or future delivery of a car to their location by using a Porsche Passport app.
The program runs on a software platform developed and operated by Atlanta-based Clutch Technologies LLC.
