Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz unit has been ordered to recall Vito vans equipped with 1.6-liter diesel engines because two of the engine’s emission control mechanisms violate regulations, Reuters reports.
The recall was announced by KBA, Germany’s vehicle authority. Daimler says it is cooperating with the agency. But the company also says it will appeal the recall and launch a court battle if necessary.
