Geely Automobile Holding Co.’s Lynk & Co. unit has released photos of a camouflaged version of the brand’s upcoming Lynk 03 midsize sedan.

The production model appears to maintain the base design of the concept car Lynk unveiled at the Shanghai auto show in April. Styling is similar to Lynk’s 01 crossover vehicle, which was launched last November in China.

As with the 01 and smaller 02 crossover due next year, the 03 sedan rides on Geely’s Compact Modular Architecture (CMA). The platform was co-developed with Geely’s Volvo Cars arm, which uses the chassis to carry its XC40 crossover and a planned all-electric model due next year.

The 03 is due to launch next year in China. Sales in Europe are expected to follow. Like Lynk’s other models, the new sedan will be sold through short-term subscription contracts.

Powertrain options are expected to include 1.5- and 2.0-liter turbocharged engines and a plug-in hybrid system. An all-electric model also is rumored to be under development.

Lynk models also feature a Microsoft/Alibaba-designed infotainment system with built-in car sharing support that allows owners to rent their vehicles through a smartphone app.
