Jaguar Land Rover workers in the U.K. are threatening to strike over stalled labor contract talks.
Workers overwhelmingly rejected an offer made in October that would give them annual raises of 3.6% in the first year and at least 3% in each of the following two years. Union officials say workers are unhappy with proposed pension cuts.
The union says workers aren't receptive to cuts because it claims the company, a unit of Tata Motors Ltd., is earning 10 million (€13 million) per day. JLR's pretax profit has more than doubled over the past three years on growing global demand for its luxury cars and high-end SUVs.
