Jaguar Land Rover Ltd. is making an unspecified investment in electric motorcycle startup Arc Vehicle Ltd., which was formed by former Jaguar engineering executive Mark Truman.

Arc unveiled its first product, the Vector, this week at a motorcycle show in Milan. Priced at 117,000 ($134,000), the Vector is built around a carbon fiber monocoque frame that houses the electric drivetrain’s battery, motor and controllers. Production will be limited to 399 units.

The 95-kW electric motor propels the vehicle from zero to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of about 125 mph, according to Arc. Driving range is estimated at 150 miles.

The electric motorcycle will come with a Hedon helmet that includes a head-up display system that shows vehicle data and images from a rear-facing camera. A specially designed jacket can provide haptic safety warnings, such as vibrating to alert riders about a possible collision.

Jaguar introduced its first all-electric car, the I-Pace crossover, this year. The company plans several more electrified models in coming years.
