J.D. Power Hires Former FCA Quality Chief
Doug Betts has been named senior vice president of global automotive operations for market analysts J.D. Power and Associates, where he will be responsible for leading the unit’s strategy and operations.
Doug Betts has been named senior vice president of global automotive operations for market analysts J.D. Power and Associates, where he will be responsible for leading the unit’s strategy and operations. He will be based at the company’s headquarters in Costa Mesa, Calif.
Betts most recently worked in an unspecified role for Apple Inc. He previously held senior executive positions at Fiat Chrysler, Nissan, Toyota, General Motors and Michelin.
Betts joined Chrysler in 2007 from Nissan. In 2009, he was appointed Chrysler’s top quality executive and added the same title for Fiat SpA in 2011. He left FCA in late 2014, a day after the automaker ranked last in Consumer Reports' reliability survey.
