Hyundai Motor Co. is recalling 141,000 of its 2011-2014 model Tucson crossover vehicles in the U.S. and Puerto Rico so dealers can tighten the mounts of the steering wheel airbag assembly.
The two bolts that hold the assembly may not have been properly torqued when the vehicle was manufactured, according to Hyundai. The company discovered the issue after noticing an uptick in warranty claims on 13-month-old vehicles.
Hyundai reports no injuries or customer complaints about the problem. The company expects to begin the recall at the end of June.
