Prosecutors in Germany have raided Audi AG headquarters and its assembly plant in Neckarsulm as part of their investigation into rigged diesel emission control systems, according to media reports.

Prosecutors in Munich say their focus is on the technical means by which emission controls for Audi-developed V-6 diesels sold in the European market may have been manipulated.

Investigators previously have been looking into possible fraud and false advertising about diesels sold by Volkswagen Group, including Audi, in Europe and the U.S. Prosecutors in pursuit of evidence about those issues prompted raids on multiple Audi operations last March and private homes in January.
