France’s Alten to Build Testing Center in India
French engineering firm Alten SA plans to open an auto testing facility at its R&D center in Chennai, India, by June 2014.
French engineering firm Alten SA plans to open an auto testing facility at its R&D center in Chennai, India, by June 2014.
Alten says the new operation will test and validate gasoline- and diesel-powered engines and hybrid propulsion systems for carmakers and tier one suppliers. The company expects to initially employ 25 engineers at the facility.
Alten's customers in Europe include Daimler AG and Renault SA.
