Denso Corp. is spending $400 million to expand its electronics manufacturing and warehousing operations in Maryville, Tenn. The project will generate 400 jobs, according to the company.
The centerpiece of the expansion is a new 186,500 sq-ft warehouse that will consolidate several current Denso facilities in the area when it opens in October 2017. The building also will give the company more manufacturing space to produce head-up displays, electronic control units and other devices.
The Tennessee expansion is part of a four-year, $1 billion program Denso launched in 2013 to increase capacity in North America.
