Daimler to Upgrade Van Plant in Spain
Daimler AG plans to spend about €190 million to update its big assembly plant in Vitoria, Spain, to make a new line of midsize medium-duty Mercedes-Benz commercial vans later this year.
Daimler AG plans to spend about €190 million to update its big assembly plant in Vitoria, Spain, to make a new line of midsize medium-duty Mercedes-Benz commercial vans later this year.
The factory has been producing Vito large commercial vans and their Viano passenger-van variants for 10 years. Daimler's investment will be used to upgrade the facility's body, paint and assembly operations, according to the company.
The Vitoria factory has capacity to make 75,000 vans per year.
