BMW AG has begun construction of a €200 million assembly plant in Araquari, Brazil.
BMW AG has begun construction of a €200 million assembly plant in Araquari, Brazil.
When the facility opens next autumn, it will have capacity to make 30,000 vehicles per year. The complex, which will employ 1,300 workers, will include body and paint shops and an assembly area.
BMW says the factory will build the Mini Countryman, BMW 1 Series five-door hatch, 3 Series sedan and X1 and X3 SUV.
