It has sold more than 1,000 EV buses in North America as of mid-November.

The company has manufacturing facilities in both City of Industry, California, and Greenville, South Carolina.

In addition to building buses, Proterra provides battery systems that are used by companies including Thomas Built Buses, Van Hool, Freightliner and more.

So to increase its capability to produce battery packs, which have a next-generation cells developed with LG Energy Solutions, the company has launched a battery production line within its City of Industry factory.
