Delphi Automotive plc has been deeply involved for many years in developing self-driving vehicle technologies. The company, which operates an office in Silicon Valley, also is expanding partnerships to help with the complexities of autonomous vehicle systems, notes Glen De Vos, vice president, Services at Delphi Automotive.
In addition, Delphi is involved in extensive tests of an on-demand automated shuttle service in Singapore. De Vos says the project tests not only the technology that make self-driving vehicles possible, but also cloud-based services related to connectivity and the ability to link with the city’s other transportation options.
