Volkswagen AG has released a teaser image of a concept electric vehicle it will unveil early next month at CES (formerly known as the Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. The concept previews an all-new, long-range production EV the company is planning.
Media reports specultate the EV will feature styling cues reminiscent of VW’s iconic 1960s-era Microbus. The vague teaser image appears to show a large model with a van-like front end.
As part of its “new era of electric mobility,” VW plans to refocus its product lineup on EVs and plug-in hybrid models. The company also is developing next-generation automated and connected vehicle technologies.
