VW Names New Chief for U.S. Marketing
Volkswagen AG has named Jim Zabel, managing director of Omni Advertising in Los Angeles, to take over as senior vice president of marketing for VW of America.

Volkswagen AG has named Jim Zabel, managing director of Omni Advertising in Los Angeles, to take over as senior vice president of marketing for VW of America.
Zabel will begin his new assignment on Nov. 27. He will report to Derrick Hatami, who was hired as VW’s executive vice president for sales and marketing in North America in June.
Zabel succeeds Vinay Shahani, who left in June to become head of North American marketing for Toyota Motor Corp. Zabel is a past North American manager of dealer operations and marketing for Nissan Motor Co.’s Infiniti luxury brand.
