Volkswagen AG tells reporters it will introduce more than 20 plug-in and all-electric vehicles in China in the "near future."
Jochem Heizmann, who heads VW China, says the array of models will range from small cars to large SUVs.
In April VW said its joint ventures in China would debut at least six electrified models by 2018. Last year CEO Martin Winterkorn declared the company could offer as many as 40 such models worldwide if demand is sufficient.
