The United Auto Workers Union has traded assignments for the vice presidents who head its General Motors and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles departments.

Cindy Estrada, who has headed the GM department and was re-elected to her third term yesterday, will take over as head of relations with FCA. Terry Dittes, who had been appointed in January to manage the UAW’s FCA department, is shifting to oversee the GM department.

Both assignments were effective yesterday. The next round of contract talks with FCA, Ford and GM will begin in 2019.
