Electric car market Tesla Motors Inc. says it has postponed filing its 2012 annual report with securities regulators by 10 days to March 11 because of an accounting error.
Tesla tells the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that at the last minute the company discovered a mistake in how its capital spending was reported.
Tesla plans to reclassify about $31 million in cash flow for last year and $15 million from 2011. The company says the changes won't affect its previously reported financial results for either year.
