The so-called 60D comes with a battery rated at 60 kilowatt-hours. The car has a range of 200 miles per charge, a top speed of 130 mph and the ability to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 6 seconds, according to Tesla.
Until now, the least expensive Model X was the $83,000 75D. It comes with a 75 kWh battery that delivers similar performance but an additional 37 miles per charge. The racier 90D model ($95,500) sports a 90-kWh battery, top speed of 155 mph, 0-60 times of 4.8 seconds and a range of 257 miles.
Tesla’s most expensive Model X remains the high-performance P90D at $116,700. It boasts a 90-kWh battery, a top speed of 155 mph, a 0-60 time of 3.2 seconds and a range of 250 miles.
Last month Tesla added a lower-priced version of its Model S electric sedan, also equipped with a 60-kWh battery, at $66,000. The rear-drive car is rated at 210 miles per charge.
