The father of a pregnant woman killed in Malaysia by shrapnel from an exploding airbag inflator made by Takata Corp. has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. against the company and carmaker Honda Motor Co.
The woman's daughter, who was delivered after her mother's death, died three days after the crash.
The lawsuit says Law Suk Leh, 42, was driving a 2003 Honda City minicar in Borneo at about 20 mph when it was struck in an intersection by another vehicle. Her case has been combined with several death and injury lawsuits being reviewed by the U.S. District Court in Miami.
