Subaru Will Recall Impreza Cars for Engine Stalling Fix
Subaru Corp. is preparing to recall 33,100 of its 2017 model Impreza sedans in the U.S. to fix a fuel flow problem that could cause the engine to misfire or stop running.

Subaru Corp. is preparing to recall 33,100 of its 2017 model Impreza sedans in the U.S. to fix a fuel flow problem that could cause the engine to misfire or stop running.
The company says more volatile winter blends of gasoline can vaporize in fuel lines during unseasonably warm weather. Vaporization disturbs fuel flow, causing the engine to run rough or stall. In the latter case, the engine may be impossible to restart until it cools.
Subaru dealers will modify engine control software to switch on the engine cooling fan at a lower temperature. The company has not yet determined when the recall will begin.
