Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. reports its net profit in January-March soared 61% to 12.8 billion rupees ($202 million). Revenue in the fiscal fourth quarter climbed 12% to 132.7 billion rupees ($2.1 billion), and unit sales grew 7% to 346,700 units.
For the full fiscal year ended March 31, sales by the New Delhi-based company climbed 14% to 486.1 billion rupees ($7.7 billion). Annual sales increased 12% to 1.29 million vehicles, and net profit jumped one-third to 37.1 billion rupees ($586 million).
