Renault SA says its revenue in July-September rose to €9.3 billion ($10.2 billion) from €8.5 billion in the same period last year.

Automotive-related income grew 10% to €8.8 billion. Retail sales advanced 1% to 620,500 vehicles, as a 7% increase in Europe offset an overall 5% decline elsewhere.

Renault says its financial unit boosted its new contracts by 15% year on year. But revenue fell 2% to €534 million ($586 million) because of lower interest rates and unfavorable exchange rates.

Renault anticipates 8% expansion for the European car market this year, including 5% growth in France. It expects continued volatility in emerging markets through the current quarter.
