Renault Group's vehicle sales were unchanged at 612,900 units in July-September. But revenue climbed 7% to €8.5 billion on increased sales to partners.

Renault predicts the European market will expand 5% this year, up from a previous forecast of 3%-4%.

The company, which doesn't report quarterly financial results, reiterated its guidance for 2014. It expects to achieve unspecified improvements in sales, revenue and operating profit, including positive free cash flow for its automotive unit.
