Sales of Toyota Motor Co.'s Prius hybrid climbed 10% to 310,500 units in Japan in the fiscal year that ended March 31, according to the Japan Automobile Dealers Assn.

JADA says renewed government incentives for the purchase of fuel-efficient vehicles helped the Prius mark its third straight year as Japan's top-selling model. Honda's Fit subcompact (+24% to 234,400 units) remained the country's second-best-selling vehicle, followed by Suzuki's Wagon R minivehicle (-2% to 174,200 units).
