Pininfarina Teams with China’s Hybrid Kinetic on New-Energy Concept

Italian design house Pininfarina SpA and China’s Hybrid Kinetic Group Ltd. (HKG) plan to unveil their jointly developed H600 concept luxury sedan next month at the Geneva auto show.
The partners say the vehicle will be powered by “new energy propulsion.” No other details were provided.
HKG supplies electric motors, lithium-ion batteries and battery management systems for electric and hybrid vehicles. It also builds the electric HK eBus and is developing graphene battery systems.
HKG is headed by Yeung Yung, who previously was the CEO of Brilliance China Automotive and chairman of the company’s Shenyang Jinbei Passenger Vehicle affiliate.
