Hybrid powertrain developers Paice LLC says it has reached a settlement with Volkswagen Group’s Audi, Porsche and VW units over the use of Paice’s powertrain patents. Details were not disclosed.
Baltimore, Md.-based Paice filed a patent infringement lawsuit complaint against the group in April 2016. A hearing by the U.S. International Trade Commission to ban the brands from selling hybrids in the U.S. was scheduled for this month.
Paice has sued several carmakers over the use of its patents, including Ford, Hyundai-Kia and Toyota.
