New Hyundai Ioniq EV Gets 105-Mile Range

Hyundai Motor Co. says the all-electric variant of its new Ioniq compact sedan will have a 105-mile range based on the Korean driving cycle.
The car is equipped with a 28-kWh lithium-ion battery pack supplied by LG Chem and an electric motor that generates 117 hp. Top speed is listed at 93 mph.
The new EV will bow this June in South Korea, followed by its European and U.S. debuts later in the summer.
Earlier this year Hyundai introduced the hybrid version of the Ioniq, which teams a 1.6-liter gasoline-direct-injection engine with an electric motor. The carmaker also plans a plug-in hybrid model.
