National Electric Vehicle Sweden has finally begun making an all-electric car—based on the discontinued Saab 9-3 sedan—at its factory in Tianjin, China.

The Chinese consortium has offered no details about the car, Automotive News China reports. NEVS unveiled the car in prototype form in 2014 but ran out of money to build it.

The company acquired the 9-3 platform when it bought bankrupt Saab Automobile NV in 2012. Chinese property developer Evergrande Group purchased a 51% stake in NEVS last January.

The Tianjin plant has initial capacity to make 50,000 EVs per year. NEVS also hopes to eventually produce the car in other Chinese cities.
