England's Morgan Motor Co. will unveil an updated version of its EV3 concept electric three-wheel vehicle next month at the Geneva auto show.

The company unveiled a prototype of the vehicle, which is based on Morgan’s classic three-wheel roadster, last summer.

Described as a near-production model, the so-called EV3 Phase 2 will feature an updated exterior design. The new styling is reminiscent of a DeLorean DMC-12 sports car, company officials tell Autocar without elaborating.

Power will come from a rear-mounted electric motor that generates 75 hp and 95 lb-ft of torque. A lithium-ion battery pack mounted in the front will provide a 150-mile driving range.

Morgan says it already has sold 10 of the Phase 2 models to customers in the U.K. and Holland. It plans to use feedback from these owners to tweak the final production model, which is due to launch later this year. The company plans to build the cars at a pace of one per week.

The EV3 is the first of several hybrid and all-electric models Morgan plans to launch over the next four years. No other details have been announced about those vehicles.
