Saad Chehab, who has headed global marketing for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' Maserati unit for nearly two years, resigned his post on Sunday Automotive News reports. An unidentified source tells the newspaper he quit for personal reasons.
Chehab, 48, was director of creative services at Ford before moving to Chrysler in 2009 to head group advertising and brand marketing. He was credited with the company's acclaimed Super Bowl football television ads featuring rapper Eminem and movie star Clint Eastwood and with supporting the company's "imported from Detroit" ad campaign.
Chehab was named head of Chrysler and Lancia brands at Fiat SpA in 2011 before moving to Maserati. There he used a well-received Super Bowl ad to promote the luxury carmaker's Ghibli sedan.
