Ford Motor Co.’s Lincoln Corsair small crossover will include a hybrid variant when the vehicle debuts later this year, according to The Truth About Cars.

Citing documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the website says the Corsair hybrid will team a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor. The same system provides a 25-mile electric driving range in Ford’s 2019 Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid model.

The Corsair, which is expected to be unveiled this spring, also will offer two stand-alone 4-cylinder engines—2.0- and 2.3-liter mills—according to the report. These engines are carryovers from the current Lincoln MKC, which the Corsair will succeed. All-wheel drive will be optional.

Lincoln may introduce the Corsair at the New York auto show in April. The company announced the new name last year as part of its strategy to phase out the MK-based naming convention it adopted in 2006.
