A tentative labor contract ended a nine-hour strike today at an interior trim plant in Michigan and averted likely production disruptions at Ford, FCA and Tesla.
No details were immediately available about the possible agreement, which will affect pay and benefits for some 1,900 United Auto Workers union members at a Faurecia SA factory in Saline, Mich. The facility molds center consoles, instrument panels and other interior trim.
The tentative deal succeeds a four-year contract that expired on June 1 but was extended by Faurecia and the UAW.
