Kia’s U.S. Marketing Chief Resigns

Saad Chehab, who has been vice president of marketing communications for Kia Motors Corp.’s U.S. operations for two years, has left the company.

In an internal memo obtained by Automotive News, Chehab said he had accepted a new position with an unspecified company that would allow him to be closer to his children.
Prior to joining Kia, Chehab held executive marketing positions with Chrysler and Ford. At FCA, he spearheaded several high-profile Chrysler ad campaigns, including Super Bowl commercials featuring such celebrities as Eminem and Clint Eastwood, a trend he continued at Kia.
Chehab later headed marketing for Fiat Chrysler Automobile’s Lancia and Maserati brands. He left FCA in 2015 after clashing with former marketing chief Oliver Francois.
