Deutsche Post DHL Group’s electric van, which rides on a Ford Transit van platform, could get a marketing boost from Ford Motor Co., says Automotive News Europe.

The German postal carrier acquired EV maker StreetScooter in 2014 and began building its own electric minivans after failing to find a vendor who could supply its needs. Last April the company partnered with Ford on the medium-duty StreetScooter Work XL electric.

The larger van is attracting orders from airport shuttle operators and other delivery services. Ford said last year it was evaluating a plan to hike Deutsche Post’s annual production of the trucks from 10,000 to 20,000 units by adding SWork XL capacity at its Fiesta small-car plant in Cologne.
