Kia Motors Corp., which introduced an all-electric version of its Soul multipurpose vehicle in California late last year, will offer the car in five more states in 2015.
The company plans to begin selling the Soul EV in Georgia in the second quarter and expand into Hawaii, Oregon, Texas and Washington shortly thereafter. Kia says more markets will be added in 2016.
The $37,900 electric is powered by a 109-hp electric motor. The car's 27-kWh lithium-ion polymer battery has a range of about 93 miles per charge. Kia introduced the electric Soul in South Korea last spring.
