Investor Confidence in Germany Stabilizes

Optimism among analysts and institutional investors in Germany this month remains nearly unchanged from March, says the Center for European Economic Research (ZEW).
The center's Indicator of Economic Sentiment for current economic conditions in Germany rose 3.1 points to +40.7. The outlook index advanced only 1.1 points to +23.4. ZEW says results show that the financial market experts it polled expect the German economy to improve over the next six months.
ZEW's indexes for sentiment about the eurozone's economy slipped 0.6 points to -49.0 for current conditions but improved by 2.1 points to +13.1 for conditions six months from now.
