Honda Motor Co. has filed an application in Europe to trademark the “Honda e” name, HybridCars.com reports.

The website notes that the name could be used for an upcoming electric vehicle or as a new sub-brand, similar to Audi e-tron and Mercedes-Benz EQ.

Honda is due to reveal an updated version of its Urban EV concept at next month’s Geneva auto show. A production version of the vehicle is expected to bow early next decade.
