Lighting and electronics supplier Hella GmbH & Co. KGaA reports gains of 9% in currency-adjusted sales and 14% in net earnings for the fiscal year ended May 31.

Sales climbed to €7.1 billion ($8 billion), led by gains for its automotive operations in Europe (+13% to €2.5 billion), the Americas (+15% to €1.2 billion) and Asia Pacific and other markets (+14% to €1.2 billion)

Hella’s net earnings for the year grew to €390 million ($442 million). Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes rose 9% to €581 million ($658 million).

The family owned company, which is based in Lippstadt, Germany, predicts its sales and adjusted EBiT each will grow 5%-10% in the fiscal year that began on June 1.
