Forster to Chair Hella’s Shareholder Committee

Lighting and electronics supplier Hella GmbH & Co. plans to name industry veteran Carl-Peter Forster to chair its shareholder committee, effective Sept. 27.
Forster, 65, previously headed production at BMW and has served as head of Opel, General Motors Europe and Tata Motors. In May he joined the advisory board of Israeli startup Vayavision, a developer to vision technology for autonomous vehicles.
He will succeed Manfred Wennemer, 71, who is no longer eligible for re-election. Privately held Hella employs 39,000 people and generates some €7 billion in revenue per year.
