Ford Recalls Hybrids for Electronics Overheating
Ford Motor Co. is recalling 73,800 hybrid crossover vehicles to replace a coolant pump that could fail, allowing the powertrain's electronics to overheat and shut down power to the wheels.

Ford Motor Co. is recalling 73,800 hybrid crossover vehicles to replace a coolant pump that could fail, allowing the powertrain's electronics to overheat and shut down power to the wheels.
The campaign covers about 66,000 of the company's 2006-2008 Ford Escape and 7,800 Mercury Mariner models. About 3,500 of the vehicles were sold in Canada.
Ford says it is not aware of any crashes or injuries caused by the problem.
