Ford Motor Co. has chosen Kiersten Robinson to take over as its chief human resources officer on April 1.
Robinson, 47, will report directly to CEO Jim Hackett. He praises her past performance in “transformational times” and says she will help Ford modernize its HR systems and accelerate a corporate culture shift that reflects the industry’s expansion from carmaking to transportation services.
Robinson joined Ford’s Australian unit in 1995 and moved through several international assignments in Australia and Europe. She relocated to Ford headquarters in 2002 and became vice president of HR for Ford Asia Pacific in 2010.
By 2016 she was head of HR for the Americas. That role expanded a year later to include global operations. Robinson has been serving as interim head of HR since November.
