California-based Fisker Inc. took the wraps off the production version of its upcoming EMotion electric sedan this week at the CES electronics show in Las Vegas.

Due by the end of 2019, the $129,000 vehicle will include five solid-state lidar sensors to help enable Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities. The lidar suite, which will be supplied by Quanergy Systems Inc., is integrated into the vehicle’s front and rear design, and teamed with advanced software to process data in real time.

On the inside, the Emotion features three driver displays. The configuration consists of a curved infotainment screen on top of the dashboard, a central touchscreen for various vehicle functions and a digital instrument cluster. A 27-inch curved screen for rear occupants in optional.

Among the luxury amenities are a four-zone adjustable tinted roof, four smartphone holders and inductive charging ports. In addition to standard individual soft-leather seats, buyers can opt for a rear bench seat and a high-end “vegan” alternative to leather.

The electric drivetrain teams a pair of electric motors with a LG Chem lithium-ion battery that Fisker says will generate a top speed of 160 miles and a 400-mile driving range. The company aims to launch its next-generation solid-state battery technology, which promises to double energy density, early next decade.

The 197-inch long car will ride on 24-inch Pirelli low-rolling-resistance tires. EMotion’s butterfly doors feature flush handles but also can be actuated electronically via a smartphone app.

Fisker began taking $2,000 deposits for the EMotion last summer.
