The eurozone's gross domestic product expanded 0.2% from the second to third quarter of 2014, according to preliminary data from Eurostat. The increase compares with 0.1% growth in the second quarter.

Germany's GDP advanced 0.1% from the second to third quarter, reversing a 0.1% contraction from the first to second quarter.

Comparing year on year, the eurozone's GDP rose by a seasonally adjusted 0.8%, the same rate reported for the second quarter.
